The goal of the course is to develop the students linguistic skills within the Italian cultural context. For this reason, classes will be composed also by cultural activities, focused on the everyday life of the students in the host community. The program will include excursions and academic activities either in classrooms or in selected locations, as: Markets and Supermarkets
Restaurants and Cafeterias Exhibitions and Museums
Historical Buildings
Locations of Cultural Interest.
Each month, students will be required to deliver oral presentations or group role plays and to turn in compositions. Compositions and presentations will be graded and will be considered an important part of the students final grade.
The text book used for grammar and conversation is "L’italiano, lingua e comunicazione.". Teachers may opt to provide students with photocopies and handout related to the developed topics. The course program may be subject to change, depending on the classroom learning process and the teachers’ and school’s requirements.

A good bilingual dictionary is required.
