The course intends to give the student a method to be able, by himself, to sing in Italian language with a perfect diction and with a good emphasis on right words and right consonants.

To reach this skill we will use the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) basic for the phonemes necessary to Italian. Then the course will face the application of the IPA phonemes to Italian languages and especially Italian opera, or chamber vocal music, texts.

A special regard will be given to the possibility to realize this sounds by the knowledge of phonetic organs (mouth, throat, tongue teeth, lips, nose, palate, breath) with specific studies, anatomic images and concrete examples.
